Larry Koffler

Former EVP of BCW Global & Edelman PR

It has been an honor to have known and supported Anne for more than 10 years. She is one of the rare people I’ve worked with in my 30+ years who is not only truly talented – from concepting to communicating, writing to design – but also tremendously passionate, dedicated and empathetic. She is a big ambitious thinker and a roll-up-your-sleeve doer. Just look at the quality and quantity of the output.

Most importantly are the outcomes. And these have been nothing short of remarkable. More than 300,000 kids have benefitted from the program she developed, with a much larger community ripple effect. It's clear that we’re living through a time when these programs that building confidence, kindness and ultimately, resilience, are needed more than ever.

The Woman Who Inspired 300,000+ Kids to Be Grateful

Shortly before her college graduation, Margaret Worthen had a stroke which left her unable to talk or walk. Margaret's heartfelt letter to her mother (written before her stroke) inspired our "You Matter Letter" activity in schools, and also an annual $1,000 scholarship which we gave to high-need students and teachers over a ten year period. Through my program, Margaret inspired 300,000+ students to write letters of thanks to the people they love.
